4/2/09 04:27 Lindenhurst battled a taxpayer fire @ 111. N. Wellwood Ave. Firefighters stretched two lines to extinguish a fire in the rear of the "Oasis Bar". M/A was requested from North Lindenhurst for Tower Ladder 1-11-4 & West Babylon for R.I.T.

4/5/09 18:27 North Babylon responded to a overturned auto accident eastbound on the Southern State Pwky near Straight Path. 1-8-31 requested a hurst tool forthwith to the scene along with a mutual aid from West Babylon for a heavy rescue & ambulance from West Babylon. Firefighters extricated the trapped subjects with in 10 minutes of their arrival. M/A was also requested from North Lindenhurst for a ambulance to the scene.

4/6/09 06:55 North Amityville was alerted to a auto accident with entrapment @ 35Th. Street & Dixon Ave. S.C.P.D. went on scene confirming the entrapment. M/A was requested from Copiague for an ambulance to the scene. Copiague's ambulance 1-3-1 & NAFCO's ambulance 1-7-7 both transported to Good Sam.

4/6/09 16:15 Copiague E.M.S. was requested forthwith to the scene of a pedestrian struck @ Great Neck Rd. & Sunrise Highway. 1--3-1 transported a 30 y/o male to Good Sam in traumatic arrest. 

4/7/09 14:50 Lindenhurst was alerted to a structure fire with a confirmed occupant with in @ 115 N. Wellwood Ave. Firefighters arrived to find a small fire & a victim D.O.A in the apartments above the bar. S.C.P.D. Arson was requested to the scene. (This was the scene of last week's previous fire)

4/7/09 17:13 North Babylon responded to a auto accident with car fire on the Southern State Pwky near Deer Park Ave. Engine 1-8-8 quickly extinguished a involved auto in the woods. 1-8-14 transported one victim to Good Sam.

4/8/09 21:32 North Babylon was toned out for a auto accident with overturn & entrapment on Sunrise Highway @ Harvard Rd. Firefighters extricated the trapped subject with in 10 minutes. 1-8-17 transported one victim to Good Sam.

4/9/09 15:06 North Babylon again responded to a overturned auto on Deer Park Ave north of Sunrise Highway. Deer Park was returning from Good Sam & arrived on scene with North Babylon. 1-4-3 transported one victim to Good Sam.

4/10/09 09:05 Babylon was alerted to a auto accident to the rear of the Chase Bank @ 31 W. Main St. Firefighters arrived to find a car that came to a rest on top of the buildings gas meter. Engine 1-2-5 lain into the scene & stretched one precautionary line. The victim was removed & transported to Good Sam by ambulance 1-2-10.

4/10/09 21:00 Wyandanch arrived to find a small fire in a vacant auto repair garage to the rear of the old McDonalds on Straight Path. 1-10-33 requested a re-tone for a working fire. Firefighters quickly controlled the fire with one line. S.C.P.D. Arson & the Town of Babylon Fire Marshals Office was requested to the scene. (This was the scene of a previous fire in October of 2006)

4/10/09 22:43 West Babylon responded to a auto accident @ Little East Neck Rd. & 2ND St. Chief 1-9-32 arrived & requested a re-tone for the hurst tool. Ambulance 1-9-9 transported one victim to Good Sam.

4/11/09 00:16 Wyandanch again responded back to the vacant auto repair garage to the rear of the old McDonalds on Straight Path for a working fire. 1-10-30 arrived to find the building well involved & requesting a re-tone. M/A was also requested from North Babylon for Tower Ladder 1-8-6 to the scene.

4/11/09 09:52 North Babylon was alerted to a shooting victim @ 80 Governor Ave. North Babylon units arrived to find a male D.O.A. from a possible self inflicted Gun Shot Wound. Two other shooting victims reportedly drove themselves to Good Sam.

4/15/09 16:10 North Amityville was alerted to a working fire @ 40 45Th. Street. Firefighters stretched 3 lines to extinguish a exterior fire that involved the entire exposure #2 side. Firefighters contained the fire to the outside with minor extension to the inside of the residence. M/A was requested from North Lindenhurst for an engine & ladder to the scene. Copiague for R.I.T. which was put to work and Lindenhurst Tower Ladder 1-6-4 for R.I.T.

4/16/09 11:35 Deer Park responded to a auto accident at the intersection of Commack Rd & Tell Ave. S.C.P.D. Aviation was requested for a medivac. 1-4-4 transported one victim to the landing zone at the Washington Ave School. S.C.P.D. Helo-4 transported the victim to Stony Brook Hospital.

4/16/09 21:04 North Babylon was alerted to a possible basement fire @ 354 Manhattan Ave. 1-8-31 went on scene advising smoke showing. Engine 1-8-3 was first due & stretched one line to control a dryer fire in the basement. No mutual aid was requested.

4/17/09 01:40 North Babylon was alerted to a shooting victim at the Stone Hedge Pub, 713 Sunrise Highway. S.C.P.D. went on scene and requested the ambulance to respond in forthwith. 1-8-7 transported a 31 y/o male with a gun shot wound to the abdomen.

4/17/09 11:57 Babylon responded to a working house fire at 31 Marlborough Rd. Firefighters quickly extinguished a heavy fire condition with lines of 1-2-3 but were hindered due to down electric lines. M/A was requested from West Babylon for an engine (1-9-3) to the scene.

4/17/09 13:31 West Babylon responded to 1333 13Th. Street for a reported house fire. 1-9-30 went on scene advising a working fire. Firefighters extinguished a fire in the attic of a private dwelling. No mutual aid was requested.

4/17/09 17:24 East Farmingdale was alerted for a working house fire at 339 9Th. Street. Firefighters were confronted with a heavy fire condition involving a 1 story private dwelling. M/A was requested from North Lindenhurst for 1-11-4 to the scene & West Babylon for R.I.T.

4/19/09 23:24 North Babylon was alerted to a working fire @ "Curves Fitness" 1350 Deer Park Ave. First Due Engine 1-8-8 stretched a 2 1/2 line to extinguish the fire which was contained by the sprinkler system. M/A was requested from Deer Park for R.I.T.

4/20/09 14:15 North Babylon responded to a auto accident at Prairie Drive & Deer Park Ave. S.C.P.D. was on the scene advising the victim was unconscious and had labored breathing. 1-8-8 requested 1-8-15 to the scene for extrication. 1-8-14 & 1-8-17 both transported victims to Good Sam.

4/24/09 18:20 North Babylon was alerted to a working house fire @ 11 Jenkins Ave off Sunrise Highway. Firefighters arrived to find a 1 story private dwelling heavily involved. M/A was requested from West Islip for R.I.T. which was put to work & Deer Park was requested for an additional R.I.T.

4/25/09 14:54 Deer Park was alerted to a child burn victim at the Knights of Columbus, 759 Long Island Ave. Suffolk County Police Aviation was requested for a medivac. S.C.P.D. Helo-1 transported one victim to Stony Brook.

4/26/09 00:31 North Lindenhurst was requested forthwith to the scene of a pedestrian struck @ Sunrise Highway & N. Greene Ave. 1-11-30 advised the victim was D.O.A.

4/26/09 14:30 North Amityville & Copiague both responded to the gas station @ Great Neck Rd & Albany Ave for a car that collided into the gas pump & caught fire. Firefighters were able to control the fire quickly with a foam line.

4/29/09 21:15 East Farmingdale responded for a shooting @ Dell Drive & Baiting Place Rd. Two victims were transported to N.U.M.C. The trauma team was requested for both victims. M/A was requested from Farmingdale Village for one ambulance with A.L.S. to the scene.

4/30/09 06:40 West Babylon was alerted to a auto accident on the Express Portion of Sunrise Highway in front of the old West Babylon Post Office. 1-9-30 requested 1-9-15 for the hurst tool to the scene. 1-9-17 requested the trauma room at Good Sam for a 30 y/o male with multi-trauma.
